Great Ideas for Cape Town Weddings

There is a reason why brides from across the country flock to the Western Cape to have their weddings. On a recent trip to Cape Town I was blown away by how gorgeous the city is. The City Bowl is a hive of activity, buzzing with creative energy that you will not find anywhere else in the country. Then you get in your car and drive a mere 10 minutes and you are surrounded by the vineyards in Constantia. Drive a little bit further and you arrive at the gorgeous white sandy beaches of Muizenberg and Simons Town. There is so much to love about the Mother City ♥ I thought today we could bring the gorgeous brides planning Cape Town weddings some ideas to help plan a gorgeous and memorable wedding in Cape Town.

So I probably should have written this before I started planning our engagement party, but hey, better late than never. We are having our engagement party this weekend and we are so super excited! My folks offered to host it for us which was really nice of them. An engagement party is the perfect way to celebrate your engagement with friends and family. An engagement party is also a great opportunity to celebrate with some friends that will not be able to make it to the wedding. Because weddings are so expensive you unfortunately cannot invite everybody so use this chance to involve those who will not be coming to the wedding.

BHLDN has to be one of my favourite websites to go to for a bit of wedding inspiration. They have everything from shoes to dresses, decor to jewellery. BHLDN has recently launched their brand spanking new wedding dresses for Spring 2013. The dresses can be bought on-line, but unfortunately they are an American store so no trying on :(
