I ♥ Greece. There are so many reasons to love Greece and for those of us facing the gloomy South African winter weather I thought of a little escape for us all – Weddings Greek style! The Greeks sure know how to celebrate and can throw one hell of a wedding. Here are some ideas of how to incoperate a bit of Greece into your wedding.

• Blue and White – Admittedly this works best with a Beach wedding but with a bit of imagination and creativity you can incorporate it into any wedding. Blue and white is just so chic and so classic. Think crisp white table cloths with different shades of blue to accent – blue china, glass wear etc.
• Getting married right on the beach – For a relaxed stylish wedding get married right on the beach. Whether its the golden sandy beaches of KZN or the powder white beaches of the Cape you can create your Greek style wedding by getting married on the beach.
• Views – Pick a venue with a breathtaking view. Not only will you not need much to accentuate the venue but it will have your guests talking about the wedding for years to come. It is also great for the wedding photos!
• Greek food – Yum! Think Greek style roast lamb, fresh salads, tzatziki, Spanakopitas, Dolmadakia and Baklavas! Whats best about Greek food is that it is extremely tasty without being expensive and it looks expensive.
