Italians are just so darn chic so you can’t go wrong in using their style notes to inspire your wedding. This wedding took place in an old rustic Southern Italian farmhouse. What I love about this wedding:

• The simpler the better – This wedding looks expensive without even making too much of an effort. Minimal decor makes the smallest details stand out. The white decor is offset by splashes of greens and reds.
• Flowers and plants – they don’t over do the flowers in this wedding at all and small amount of flowers and plants that they do use make a real impact. I love the use of succulent. I think this is a real good idea when you are planning a wedding in a drier area, such as parts of the Western Cape – you can really get this chic ‘Mediterranean’ look.
• Outdoor ceremony – The simplicity of this tent structure goes to show that you really can create a beautiful outside ceremony space with minimal cost and effort. The white chairs and minimal decoration of the ceremony venue is just so chic.

Ok so she may not be that famous in South Africa, but I am sure that you will recognize this bride, Sara Rue, from a series that was on ages ago call Popular. Well she lost 50 pounds (about 22kgs) and got married to her prince charming this weekend and her wedding looked gorgeous and worth a mention. She looked absolutely beautiful in this strapless ivory wedding gown. She is the host of the a new reality TV show called Shedding For The Wedding, where surprise surprise couples compete for their dream wedding by losing weight. Sounds like my kind of show – weddings and make overs ♥ Her theme for the wedding was Hummingbirds, love it!
